Shabby Chic Style

A dreamy, pure white palette graced with pink and green accents makes an ideal backdrop for a home filled with treasured vintage finds. Roses are the center of attention in this style – preferably pink roses in full bloom.

Shabby Chic is a perfect style to show off beautiful flowers and soft spring colors- pinks, greens and whites. This style is very feminine and romantic. The center of this style is a pink rose, everything else that you add to your room is to complement the beauty of this beautiful flower. Shabby chic style was developed in the British countryside with age-worn items, faded fabrics, old paintings, and furniture with chipping paint. Shabby Chic design is elegant and at the same time it feels casual. This style is perfect for recycling of old furniture, accessories, and fabrics. The French Chateau style and Shaker style are two influences that fit well in this style. Read more about Shabby Chic Colors, Furniture and accessories

I just love this style. It is very beautiful and romantic. You can do so much with it, and it is a great way to recycle outdated pieces by painting them white and distressing them a bit. It gives mismatched pieces new found cohesiveness.

Our listing Fit For a Queen rag rug is made from a white chenille bedspread. I think it could make a great addition to a “Shabby Chic” room when placed in front of an occasional chair or at a doorway to the outside.

Ahhh … The romance of this style makes it my favorite! The crisp clean whites and soft pastels are so very feminine, graceful and beautiful.

My “Roses and Shamrocks” Doily could be a very complementary addition to a Shabby Chic room. Roses in wild rose pink and garnet red with green leaves and a white “background”! A handmade vintage-style piece – pure romance!!

The “naturalness” of Shabby Chic decor exudes comfort and warmth!
Time-worn finishes and intricate textures on wood and iron add to it’s charm.
This Armoire we made with salvaged antique doors, an old architectural pediment and mismatched, recylced old furniture legs is perfect in creating the Shabby Chic look!!
