Before you spend money on your pool fencing, stop for a moment and think about what you can do to make you pool area and surrounding pool entertainment area that little more enjoyable and creative. While there are legal requirements for keeping your pool safer and keeping your pool cleaner, we still want the environment to look the best. Some standard swimming pool fences can make your home look like a prison yard, or even worse, one of those show homes at property developments. • Pool Pump Noise. We need to keep them on to keep our pool clean, but the noise can get a little annoying. It is important to contact your local council to ensure you understand the laws of your state, region and country. The implications are just too serious, and they are changing all the time. In Australia, for example, pool registration is soon to be a requirement for home-owners. Without this, you cannot sell your home.
• Looking Good. Before you spend your hard earned money, think about the purpose of your pool fencing outside of the legal requirements. There are a number of options that are available. Have you thought about Perspex fencing, for example? This type of fencing is completely see-though. An excellent way to keep those expensive views you paid for. Talk to your fencing contractors about the full range of fencing types available. Think about your purpose, do you want privacy for example? Also think about insulation properties. Some fencing materials can insulate against sound. This can be particularly good if you like to have late night parties and do not want to disturb your neighbours. The wrong fencing, and any noise could be increased without your knowledge. Think about these issues before you go spending your money. Too many people don’t stop to think about their options and get a standard fence that really does not do their property justice.
• Surfacing. Always go anti-grip, whatever you choose. Modern surface coatings can be bought and look like a tin of paint. In reality, they are a coating that provides excellent grip. Apply these to any surfacing to make your pool surrounding look great and function well. They come in a range of colours. Do something different.
